A smiling woman welcomes families and children into a church, with people greeting each other at the entrance. Stained glass windows and a crucifix are visible inside.

Greeters play an important role in the life of Ascension Catholic Church by offering a warm and welcoming presence to everyone who enters the church. By opening doors, offering a friendly smile, assisting visitors, and helping parishioners feel at home, they embody Christ’s hospitality before the celebration of Mass even begins. Greeters are especially attentive to newcomers and those who may need assistance, helping to foster a sense of belonging within the parish community. Through this simple but meaningful ministry, they help make Ascension a place where all are received with kindness, dignity, and joy.
